Who We Are
Nicole Mazzeo
|
Nicole (she/her) is a trauma-informed queer sex educator and zine maker. She specializes in consent, pleasure, and the intersection between sexuality and social justice. She has been working in sex ed since 2013.
Nicole's approach to sex education is based in the belief that most people do not want to harm others, but that society fails to equip people with the tools and knowledge needed for navigating sexuality in an empowered way. Nicole enjoys teaching about sexuality in a way that challenges shame and stigma and celebrates the incredible diversity of sexual expression. Nicole makes most of Pleasure Pie's zines and illustrations and is available for custom illustration and design projects. She also loves paper crafts, costume parties, wrestling, and animals. |

Through her teaching and advocacy, she aims to help others confidently voice their desires and reconnect to their sensual and sexual sovereignty. She wants to create a world where women of color and survivors of color can feel validated, supported, and celebrated in their pleasure.
In her non-work time, Cecilia enjoys Middle Eastern dance, karaoke, and swimming around in her mermaid tail. She lives in Jamaica Plain, MA with her partner, their kindergartener, and their cat Dorito. |

Margaret Hughes
|
Margaret (any pronouns) has worked as a field organizer on campaigns for LGBTQ+ nondiscrimination and economic justice around the country since 2012. When it comes to sexual health, she believes—in the words of sex radical Patrick Califia—that the state is not going to save us, and we have the means at hand right now to save our own lives. Outside of Pleasure Pie, Margaret is a shape-note singer, a fundraiser who's passionate about wealth redistribution, a queer sci-fi/fantasy reader, and an aspiring leatherdyke.
