FAQs

Because maybe you're wondering some of these things, too!

How can I get involved?
Thanks for wanting to contribute to what we're doing! You can find info about options for getting involved here.

I am new to Boston and looking for sex-positive community. What do you recommend?
Welcome! We put together a monthly email newsletter called Boston's Sex-Positive Newsletter, which aims to make it easier for people to get involved with local sex-positive happenings. You can subscribe and see past issues here.

Can someone from Pleasure Pie come speak on my panel?
Yes! Please email us (hello [at] pleasurepie.org) with the date, time, and location of your panel, as well as with your budget for compensating speakers.

Do you do custom illustrations?
Yes! If you’re interested in a custom design, please email Nicole (hello at pleasurepie.org) with a description of the project, your budget, and the timeframe that you’re looking for it to get done in. You can see custom illustration work on Nicole's website, nicolemazzeo.com.

I want to become a sex educator. Can I ask you some questions?
Yes! We offer individual calls for current and aspiring sexuality professionals for a fee. Learn more here.

We also have a lot of free resources for current and aspiring sex educators on our Sex Educator Resources page.

Also, we have a guide for Alternative Routes to Becoming a Sex Educator.

I want to make a zine. Do you have any tips for formatting or printing?
It's awesome that you are planning to make a zine.

For our zines, we mostly use Google Slides (the google version of Powerpoint) or Canva. Adobe InDesign is also great for making zines.

In terms of printing, we usually use the website bestvaluecopy.com. They are much cheaper than most printing options we've heard of. Many of our zines are printed double sided and flipped on the short edge of the page. Their website doesn't list that as an option, so we just write it as an instruction in the Notes box on the order form and they do it. We also recommend printing at your local library.
