Anti-Trump Project Night

Do you want to do something constructive in response to the United States' troubling political situation? Not sure what to do, but don't want to just do nothing? Have a great idea and just need to get started? Come to this project night and do SOMETHING!

It can be discouraging to feel like you don’t have control over what’s going on in our government when it seems to be creating so much harm. This project night is based on the belief that taking small actions to resist is better than doing nothing. There are so many people who oppose Trump and his administration, and if a lot of people do small things, those many small things together can have a real positive impact.

Come with a project idea ready, or brainstorm here with our helpful brainstorming worksheets. We will have some random supplies available for your creative use.

The evening will start with a welcome circle where you can say a little bit about any project ideas you may have (or your lack of ideas). You can drop in at any point during the evening; no worries if you can't make it on time or need to leave early.

All sorts of projects are welcome: art, internet-based, writing, political organizing, etc. etc. etc.!

Accessiblity info:

The Democracy Center is partially wheelchair accessible. The wheelchair ramp is on the DeWolfe Street side of the building and opens into the Mandela room.

However, there is no accessible bathroom on site. There is a bar next door called Daedalus that has an accessible bathroom, and the owners have said that Democracy Center guests are welcome to use it. To reach that bathroom, exit the ramp and turn left on Bow St, at the next building (Daedalus) use their accessible entrance. Their restroom will be on the right.

The folks at the Democracy Center are currently in the process of making improvements to the building's physical accessibility, so contact info@democracycenter.org or 617-492-8855 for more specific up-to-date information.
